(WARNING: Controversial subject)

(Day 14 of NaBloPoMo)

WARNING: This is a CONTROVERSIAL subject. Proceed at your own risk. :-)

Some of you may have STRONG opinions on this subject matter. Please don't judge anyone for their comments.

To bang, or not to bang, that is my question!

Now, get your mind out of the gutter, I am talking about HAIR, not what you were probably thinking!

How is this controversial you ask? Well, some might say bang, otherwise she would look like a boy. While others might say "no bang" because then she has hair in her face all the time and needs the upkeep.

Now do you see? THIS can be controversial. :-)

Ok, on with the post....

Since The Princess' hair started growing when she was younger I have cut her bangs fairly regularly on my own. I have taken her in a few times to get them cut as well.

Lately, I have been thinking about letting them grow out so she has no bangs. I can't seem to settle on a decision. Some days I think I want to cut them and then I change my mind before I actually get to it.

After seeing her today with her headband on and bangs pulled back, I think I like the "no bang" look. I can see her whole face, and what a beautiful little face it is. :-)

The Princess with bangs...

The Princess with NO bangs...(please ignore the GRUMPY face, she was in a BAD mood)

So, do you bang, or not bang? (for your daughter, or yourself)

I LOVED the "INTRO"!!! LOL.

I think I like the bangs on her. She is sooo cute. I went through the same thing with Bridget. She had bangs until just this year (she is now 9). She would always rip out her hair accessories...so I would just have the "bang" look so that I could see her face.

Ha ha, that is controversial!! One of my girls does the other two don't have bangs. I have long ones. I prefer they don't have bangs because all the do is hang in their eyes and I'm not good at trimming them.

For your princess I saw no bangs...but she is cute either way! :)

I don't have a daughter. :( And my hair won't tolerate a bang... :( I say bite the bullet mama!! Give it a shot, you can always cut it if you can't take it anymore!

Everyone is doing it...lol

No bangs seems to suit her face better, I think. She's adorable! Lily has bangs because I think they suit her. Some kids are cuter with them, some are cuter without.

Considering this is a controversial subject, I'm going to go out on a limb and risk public humiliation by commenting... :-)

I say grow them out. See how you like it. You can always cut them again. But if you never let them grow, you'll never know which you really prefer. Just remember the growing-out process can seemingly take forever and those in-between stages are sometimes not the look you want.

Bang or no bang, she'll never look like a boy! She's such a cute little girl!

No girls bangs in our house!

I don't have a daughter so I can only comment for myself..I cannot wear the bang! I did as a little girl but it just doesn't look right as an adult! I have to say..I wish I could..I LOVE bangs! I vote for bangs! She looks super cute with them!

I go back and forth with bangs all the time for my girls. Grow them out and then see what you like :)

I like bangs on Tink, but not for the other two....they both have big ol' cowlicks right smack in the front.

Were all no "bang" at our house!!!

I look stupid with "the bang" and Leighanna didn't have much hair, so we didn't want to cut what ahe did have :)

You need to be prepared for the "grow phase" though... don't give up if you decide to grow them.

Yes - very controversial! I have half and half - I have bangs but they are long bangs and they go to the sides so I don't have a traditional bang. Sweetpea has more traditional bangs. It works for her. Personally, I like the bangs! But she's beautiful no matter what!!!

I love bangs!!! Both of my girls have bangs and I think they look super cute...I have bangs too but they are just long enough that I can sweep them off to the side when I'm in the mood for a different look.

Which ever way you go...she will ALWAYS look adorable!!!

HAHA! I love this post, Tracy!
I have always had this problem with Sweet Girl too... finally for school, to make it easier on Daddy when he is getting her ready in the morning, we went with bangs... and I am SO glad we did!
I dont have bangs... but am thinking to get them again. Maybe.
