Just got the call...ITP it is. She will consult with a hematologist tomorrow to make sure we do the right steroid dose. We will start steroids tomorrow and she will be on them for 2-6 weeks (roughly).
And she said to be very careful with her activity for the next several days since her platelet count is SO low (6000).
I will know more tomorrow after she talks to the specialist.

I was reading up on it and the website said something about it possibly being autoimmune. Wow. So glad it's not the other, but I'm sorry that it's one more thing to deal with.
HUGS!
Hugs! That is a relief it is not the you-know-what. But still...really? You guys have been through so much - another thing to add on is just too much.
I've been following your updates on facebook and you've been in my thoughts and prayers. So glad it is not the L-word, but really, one more thing is not what you need. Hang in there.
Thinking of you and the Princess. What an ordeal. (((HUGS)))
